Envy Subscription

Envy Subscription gives your team direct control of your PeopleSoft environments on AWS without a full managed services engagement. It’s designed for institutions with cloud-capable IT teams who want the power of the Envy control plane in their own hands.

What You Get

Envy Subscription gives your team access to the same platform that powers TBGI’s managed services operation — the same automation, the same reliability, the same AWS-native architecture that has been managing hundreds of PeopleSoft environments since 2016.

Every Envy Subscription

Client runs on TBGI’s standard AWS architecture — scripted, standardized, and built to the same specifications as every environment we manage. That standardization isn’t incidental — it’s what makes Envy work. The event engine assumes everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be. The CloudFormation templates define that layout, and the custom Docker containers are what Envy calls when it needs to launch your web and application servers. The platform is designed from the ground up around that consistency.

Under the Subscription

Model, the division of responsibility is straightforward. Your team owns PeopleSoft — support, maintenance, and day-to-day operations — using Envy as your environment management tool. TBGI owns Envy — maintaining the platform, keeping the Docker containers current as new PeopleTools versions are released, and supporting the automation layer itself. You keep full control of your PeopleSoft environment. You just have a much more powerful set of tools to work with.

What Envy Does For Your Team

Environment operations on demand

Launch a fully provisioned environment in approximately 40 minutes, shut one down in 15, scale resources up or down hours before a peak event and back down immediately after.

Lifecycle operations

Server upgrades in approximately 30 minutes, database upgrades via Amazon RDS with zero outage for Multi-AZ instances, database refreshes in approximately 45 minutes, and automated backups per your retention policy.

Monitoring and alerts

Continuous monitoring via AWS CloudWatch with automated alarm routing and response workflows via AWS Step Functions.

Scheduling

All operations can be triggered manually or scheduled, one-time or recurring.

Getting Started

Envy Subscription requires an initial migration into TBGI’s standard AWS architecture. The average migration takes six months and is performed under a separate fixed-term engagement prior to subscription activation.
